Today, the students of Class IX (IGCSE) took on the role of detectives to solve a mini murder mystery using surds. With a set of cryptic cues, they embarked on a journey to unravel the mystery, applying various operations related to surds to uncover the truth.
As they solved each problem, they pieced together the puzzle to reveal the identity of the murderer, the location of the crime, the exact date and time, and the motive behind the murder. Through this engaging activity, students recapitulated their understanding of surds while developing essential problem-solving skills.
The activity proved to be a thought-provoking experience, allowing students to think critically and analytically. The excitement and sense of accomplishment were palpable as they finally claimed "who, where, when, and why" of the mystery.
