Introduction to the concept of Pi

Today, the students of Class VII were introduced to the concept of pi using a mathematical model having concentric circles. With few experimentation, we conclude that- 

Pi is a constant which is defined as the ratio of circumference of a circle to its diameter. The value of Pi correct to 3 decimal places is taken as 3.142. 

Pi is neither terminating nor a recurring decimal so it is not a rational number.
